The 15 foot diameter demo dome is shown above and below, covered
with 10
mil Super Poly woven poly tarp, with the thin white plastic lath applied
over the 2 x 4 struts on the outside. This helps keep the poly attached
and reduces heat on the poly during hot summer months. We use hot melt
glue and staples to attach the Super Poly and lath. Using 8 ft lumber,
a 15 ft diameter dome can be made with efficient use of board length, sawing
two dome struts per board - the 65 struts can be made from 33 boards. 13
more 8 ft boards are needed to make the 25 struts for the Base Option.
It's an excellent low cost structure that is very strong.

Make
the dome any size to fit your requirements and materials. Wood domes approximately
8 to 26 ft. can be constructed.
A Base Option is available for each size, Connector Kits, Frame Kits and
Super Poly Kits, heavy duty Connector Hubs and subdivision ( -X1,
-X2, -X3) options. The Base Option adds approximately 3 to 5-1/2 feet of
height, relative to the domes diameter. A new Vertical
Base Option can be made any convenient height relative to dome diameter.
It is ideal for adding board siding or rectangle rigid glazing for greenhouses,
standard (store bought rectangle) doors and windows.
