The six joined pentagrams of Star Dome 1 are self supporting. Also notice the geodesic great circle arcs.
The hexagonal space between the stars is subdivided to produce the various dome types.
This is the "1A-2" type, without the 10 ground level struts.
This is a 20 foot diameter model made from 2 x 4 lumber. In the future more struts will be added to fill
in the spaces and add a base perimeter. This will result in a stronger and very rigid synergy unit.
