This dome design is the Garden Dome 1 E.Z. = Edge Zenith orientation.
One basic size of triangle panel will cover the dome for ease and efficiency.
Four of the cover triangles on opposite sides are cut in half.
The dome illustrated is 12 ft diameter, made with 2 x 4 construction.
Bottom image shows the Vertical Base Option, 3 ft. tall on this example. It can be any practical height relative to dome size.
It can be covered with board siding or greenhouse glazing, cut in rectangle panels.
To increase strength make with 2 x 6 lumber and add more vertical boards.
For larger domes, add the -X1 subdivision struts for more roof support structure.
A maximum diameter would be approx. 25 feet, where the long struts, shown here in green, are 8 ft long.
