The Garden Dome 2 - X3 Subdivision is illustrated as a 30 ft diameter dome with 2 x 4 construction.
All main triangles are divided into 6 equal right triangles. For covering purposes only 2 sizes of triangles are required. This can result in a more efficient use of  materials, - triangles cut from a 4 x 8 ft sheet; depending on the dome diameter.

X3 struts - 240
No compound miter cuts required (except perhaps for a door retrofit). All struts ends are sawed at simple miter angles. More illustrations>>
