Pyramid Truss

Pyramid Truss – Incenters of the “Garden Dome 2” triangles are projected out to the dome radius, making shallow pyramids in each original dome triangle. This is same as the X3 subdivision, but with the X3 vertices (connector hubs) projected outward. Points of the resulting pyramids are joined in a hexagon-pentagon grid, making elongated tetrahedron in a fantastic spherical truss. In this case the outer grid, shown in blue/green, is the simple Bucky-Ball frame.
